Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Dvorsky




     CSM Dvorsky, is a native of Trumbull, Connecticut, entered active military service on August 3, 1983.  He received his Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.  Upon graduation he was awarded the primary Military Occupational Specialty of 11B, Infantryman. In 1986, he reenlisted and reclassified to the MOS of 15T, UH-60 Utility Helicopter Repairer (distinguished graduate).

     CSM Dvorsky has held numerous maintenance and leadership positions to include UH-60 Door Gunner, Helicopter Repairman, Crewchief, Air Assault School Instructor, Rappel Master, Company Flight Instructor, Company Standardization Instructor, Technical Inspector, Section Sergeant, Senior Instructor/Writer, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant and Battalion Command Sergeants Major.

     His overseas tours include, Fulda, Germany, 11th ACR; Camp Eagle, Korea assigned to G Company, 52 Aviation Regiment (AVIM).

 

     His stateside tours include: Fort Bragg, 82 Combat Aviation Battalion and  2-82nd Aviation Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division; Fort Ord, California assigned to 3-123 Aviation Regiment, 7th ID; Fort Drum, New York, assigned to 3-25 Assault Helicopter Battalion and 2-10 Aviation Regiment, 10th Mountain Division; Fort Eustis, Virginia, 1st Staff and Faculty Company; Fort Hood, Texas assigned to 1st Squadron, 10th United States Cavalry and 3-4 Aviation Regiment (assault) 4th ID; and is currently assigned as the Command Sergeants Major for TF Phoenix, 3rd Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade (GSAB).

      His deployments include, Desert Storm, Operation Provide Comfort, Operation Uphold and Maintain Democracy, Operation Iraqi Freedom I and 9-11.

      His military education includes, all levels of the Noncommissioned Officers Education System, the Instructor Training Qualification Course, Rappel Master Course, Cadre Training Course, Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, United States Army First Sergeants Course and Class 57 graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.

      His civilian education includes a Bachelors Degree in Professional Aeronautics, with minor degrees in Business Administration and Aerospace Safety with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University; possesses an Airframe and Powerplant license. 

      His awards and decorations include, Bronze Star Medal (3 awards), Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), Army Commendation Medal (6 awards), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award,  Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Achievement Medal (8 awards), Humanitarian Service Medal (2 awards), Good Conduct Medal (8 awards), National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), NATO Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Armed Forced Expeditionary Medal (2 awards), Southwest Asia Service Medal, Afghanistan Campain Medal (2 CS), Iraqi Campain Medal (2 CS) Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), Kuwait Liberation Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal, Combat Action Badge, Master Aviation Badge, Driver Badge (w/wheel device), Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. He is the recipient of the Order of Saint Michael Bronze Medal and is a Lifetime member of AUSA, AAAA and NCOA.

      CSM Dvorsky is married to the former Margaret Styres for the past 23 years, and they have two Boys Ronald (18), and Tom (15).
